Osgilliath defence

Another creation :P This is my fifth one already XD!

This one pictures the defence of Osgiliath from LOTR:

Here we see Faramir, the brother of Boromir, holding of the Orcs at West-Osgilliath with his rangers and local militia. The Orcs have nearly crossed the last bridge of the city. One of Faramirs soldiers has just been pushed of the bridge and another one has been shot by an arrow.

In the tower there is another ranger:

Here is aniother picture, but without the soldiers (except the poor dead soldiers XD):
I make ruins in two steps:
1) I make the basic shell of the buildings, then knock some holes in it and put 'wall fragments' on it.
2) I pile some random bricks on eachother

Here we can see some of the men (or Ocrs of course :P) of both teams:
Here is a Gondorian warrior, a ranger, Faramir and a Gondorian archer.

Here are some different Orcs, ready to fight/trow/shoot.

I hope you like it :) feel free to comment!

Mountain with Mammoth

Hello!

I am sorry it took me so long to make a new creation, but school has kept me busy over the last few weeks!

Well, here it is:

It pictures a mammoth (from Skyrim) walking along a mountainside, next to a river. There is no giant to herd him however. maybe he is killed by a dragon?

Some close-ups:

The mammoth is almost completely made of round, four-knob bricks, wich I covered in different types of bricks, like wooden-pole bricks, diogonal bricks, those bricks that have both horizontal and vertical grooves, and normal smooth bricks. The head and ears are entirely made out of diogonal bricks, and later on attached to the body.

And the mountain:
This is actually a rebuilt piece of the cillf from the Cliffside Camp, but highered, extended for a bit, and covered with plant growth and moss. I have also made a cave on the back-right. You might not see it on this picture, but the upper one shows it of quite nicely. the mountain is exactly 35 pices high (this was not on purpose, discovered it later).

some tips when building your own mountain:
1) use standard cliff pieces as a frame! It was very hard to build higher than the old cliff because I had nothing left to build on!
2) If you don't have those, make support beams every 10 pieces high or so. This will also prevent you mountain for collapsing completely, instead collapsing only for a little bit. later on you can put plank bricks on the support beams to make floors for dungeons (I did this too and made a little draugr battle for good old Dovahkiin :P).
3) Don't worry if your mountain looks unnatural. I go to France almos every year, and some of those mountains really look as if they had been made.
4) use diogonal bricks in plenty.
5) add plant growth later! details always go last!
6) If you don't want to make your mountain in natural colors, or if you don't have enough bricks in that color, whatever! You don't have to satisfy people looking at your blog :P.

Well, that is it for now! I hope you come back often and tell your friends about this blog!
check again next weekend for a new creation!

Cliffside camp

This one I made yesterday. It took me about 3 hours to make the cliff

It pictures A traveler (The Dovahkiin from Skyrim :P) that has set up camp near a great cliff.
For the cliff I used standard cliff pieces, but I covered them almost completely with diogonal blocks, giving a nice, rock-like effect. The Dovahkiin's tent I made of capes strung over a frame of sticks:
The Dovahkiin I made with a Viking helm, but I replaced the ordinary horns with Minotaur horns. He also has a Samurai chestplate:

The Minotaur and the Samurai are from the LEGO minifigures series

The Greek temple

Hello! this is my 2nd post already!
This time i have made a Greek temple:
It is almost entirely made of white blocks. acually, the only pieces that aren't white or red are the front pillars. I have worked about 1 week on the temple (mostly because I had to go to school too).

An inside vieuw:
Here you see the interior of the temple. It has a white marble floor and a golden statue of some god, probarebly Ares. The statue is from the LEGO minifigure sets. It is the Greek warrior without his cape and with a blank head to pass for a statue

LOTR: Treebeard

Hi! This is going to be my first post!
I made this yesterday evening, but because it was too dark then I had to delay making the pictures.

This is Treebeard, an Ent, from Lord Of The Rings (LOTR). It is from the scene where the Ents march on Isengard. Treebeard is cocking his arm to throw a boulder at the orcs. An earlier boulder has already claimed a victim. He has stomped on another one. Also there is another, smaller Ent watching. when I was tinkering with the leaf bricks I suddenly noticed that I made a man-shaped form! I worked it out until I had a second Ent

Here is a closer picture of Treebeard:

Those round, barrel-like parts that his legs and body are made of are from a very old Stunt Rally set I got for my birthday long ago. his feet are from an Indian camp that is also very old.

Next to him are Merry and Pippin:

Now for the other Ent:
As you can see, he is almost entirely made of leaf pieces, along with some apples :).
